Of course they have. With no media coverage.
When needed, they are just conveniently taken off the shelf in the vault of the exclusive billionaires' club, highlighted, and used to deflect the fingers pointing at the ultra-wealthy as the source of most of America's problems.
When average hard-working people, barely surviving in a rigged system decide to break out the pitchforks and guillotines and point fingers at the undemocratic privileged and call them out for their nefarious practices and heinous anti-democracy acts, the wealthy will do anything to have those fingers pointed in another direction.
Why is THIS not news?
Oh, right, because the ultra-wealthy-controlled, non-liberal, corporate-dictated media in America, replete with poser "journalists" pushing pretend "news" on the masses, won't dare anger its handlers by publishing actual truth.
As a side note, the "liberal media" is another convenient egregious fallacy, as well as part of the problem. One need not go further than looking at the handful of somewhat liberal newscasters and pundits in a long list of far-right commentators with opinion shows, to see how liberal the liberal media actually is. Additionally, the "interview" by giant "liberal media icon" Barbara Walters with her softball "journalism" in talking with Billionaire David Koch is further proof. It should also be sickening to any citizen that actual facts and news come more from a network called Comedy Central than any network with "news" in its name. This lopsided nature of a vastly conservative industry labeled as "liberal" bears a great resemblance to the lopsided nature of cities with forty-percent blacks and police forces with under five-percent black officers. But in these situations we are forbidden to call those police departments "white dominated" or "racist" in the mainstream media, but we can have the societal audacity to refer to the media as liberal.
If the media were truly liberal and "journalists" actually practiced journalism, the truth would surely get the wealthy guillotined. Better to have a majority of poor and working class people live in poverty, go from pitiful paycheck to pitiful paycheck, with no opportunities in life, work themselves to death, go homeless, suffer malnutrition and then die of diseases they can't afford to treat even though we have the knowledge and advanced medical technology.
And this is all because the biggest non-story in our media is that the wealthy are not considered our enemies, but we are most certainly theirs.
To compound the problem, of course, by insolently voicing this opinion, if I am not outright ignored and marginalized, I'll be accused of raising the ugly specter of class warfare.
Remember, it is NOT class warfare when large corporations oppose raising minimum wage to a living wage, of which economists rather than right wing pundits say should be over twenty-dollars an hour today; it's not class warfare when these same ultra-wealthy-owned corporations b*tch and moan about having the highest corporate tax rates in the world as the largest of them pay three-percent or less; it's not class warfare when the wealthiest few manipulate our legislative branch to get laws allowing them to pay the least taxes while also getting the most subsidies as well as the most government services -- not to mention actual representation in Congress; it's not class warfare when the wealthy get government bailouts on bad bets in a system of capitalism when they profit, but socialism when they crash; it's not class warfare when the house always wins, and the brilliant hard-working card counter is thrown out for attempting to win by tipping the odds using his superior knowledge and skills.
Silly rabbit, tipping the odds and using superior knowledge and skills are only reserved for those with power and deep wealth connections! That's not class warfare either.
It is only class warfare when a lowly, pie-hole-running, working-class, military retiree peasant dares to speak out about these issues. And in those cases, for the good of God, America and Democracy, he must be silenced, discredited as crazy, vilified as being unpatriotic, accused of aiding terrorists, labeled a criminal, considered a Godless heathen, or just plain ignored so his valid thoughts never see the light of day in our nation of the corrupt politicians, by the corporate media, for the ultra-wealthy.
God bless 'Merica, Bucky!
