The conference lasts 12 days. Could we strike for 12 days? It would be amazing if we did. If people all around the world take a stand for what is right and what is necessary, we can make a difference.
For 12 days in November, if we stand together and strike - we do not go to work - we can shut down the old economy that just isn't working anymore. The old world is destroying our chance of survival. Why do we let it? Covid began the process. We can bring it to a conclusion.
If the world's people r i se up to strike, the world' s leaders will know we're watching them . We can make ourselves a big part of the equation.
It will take a willingness to sacrifice our fears, great determination, unity in sisterhood & brotherhood, integrity of purpose and the courage to take a stand.
Mother Earth and Covid showed us what could happen when the 'old' world stops. Now it's our turn to stop the world.
We need our musicians and artists to stand up with us, like they did during the Vietnam protests, for the real purpose of their art is to heal and unite us. They are the Bards and storytellers who can touch our hearts and open our imaginations.
" We have nothing to fear but fear itself." is still true. But instead of facing another military war, let's face a life-giving task. Let's transform our world. We have the means. We just need the will.
If we are the ones we've been waiting for, then isn't this the time we've been waiting for?
If we stand together, we can change the world.
