Apparently, you don't think you even owe us an apology. I would imagine that Rabbi David Nesenhoff doesn't think he owes us one either for being so eager to set an 89 year old woman up for a gotcha moment for his website video section and for being so stupid as to post it next to his own video in which he does "a terrible Mexican impression and makes a lot of jokes about being detained by ICE."

"Nesenoff has stated that he approached Thomas due to her icon status, not due to the common conservative beef with her for her well-known stance on Israel. (That said, the video doesn't provide context for him asking her about "Israel' in so many words.) But since then, he's been interviewed on Fox News, and owes much of his sudden web traffic to conservative news curators like Matt Drudge and Andrew Breitbart, the latter of whom is widely credited with bringing down ACORN with a hidden camera and a pimp costume. Never mind that the ACORN "pimp' videos have since been discredited as edit jobs."

"She felt comfortable saying this in front of two boys with yarmulkes on."

"Frankly, I was shocked," he said. Well, frankly, Rabbi, so were we. You, sir, felt comfortable making fun of Hispanics on the internet.

Helen Thomas apologized and quit. Your own present day political advisor, Fred Malek, didn't have the grace to do same after making not simply a rude remark as a private citizen in public but who, as a government official working for the public, went on a seek and destroy mission of any Jews in the employ of our government. Oh, but Fred apologized you say? Yeah, yeah, yeah, if you don't want to consider the fact he outright lied about what he was apologizing for.

So, tell us Sarah, why should the ancient Helen Thomas be worthy of your wrath for a political comment that according to you was "unconscionable indecency," but an actual "Jew counter" who tracked down and fired numerous Jews simply for being Jewish and then lied about it be rewarded by the Republican Party with many years of impressive posts, such as assistant to George H.W. Bush, deputy chairmanship of the RNC and campaign manager for George Bush, co-chairmanship of the finance committee for John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign and, most recently, rewarded with the position of your personal advisor? How can you have the gall, after your full embrace of Westbrook Pegler and Fred Malek, to set yourself up as judge and jury over Helen Thomas? You never fail to amaze me, Sarah. Never.

"Malek's rehabilitation was breathtakingly swift. Within a year, he was part of George W. Bush's syndicate to purchase the Texas Rangers baseball team [90% of which he wanted the federal government to pay for per ballparks.com]. The year after that, Malek took on an official (though unpaid) role in Bush pà ¨re's administration organizing an international summit. In 1992, he was an influential adviser to Bush's presidential campaign. Jewish leaders forgave Malek."

"One mistake does not an anti-Semite make," said Abraham Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League of B'Nai B'rith." Oh, that we were so kindly to 89 year old women who make that 'one' mistake.

Helen screws up, apologizes and quits and you, Sarah, bash this old woman repeatedly through your twits. Fred screws up, lies in his apology, and you hire the twit as your political advisor. Can you see the incongruity here, Sarah?

"Malek told Woodward and Pincus. "If I had even been peripherally involved or asked to alter someone's employment status I would have found it offensive and morally unacceptable, and I would have refused." Malek found "that kind of action--or even the suggestion that I engaged peripherally in that kind of effort--to be morally wrong and totally out of bounds." In other words: Not only did I not do it; shame on you for speculating that I did!"

"These were all lies, and Malek has never corrected them or been held to account for them. A memo surfaced three years ago proving that Malek was intimately involved in the demotions, and that Malek demoted four Jewish-surnamed BLS officials, not two. Additional material surfaced this past January providing additional details, including the actual list of 13 Jews."
