Today, there's more news from Gallup that even support among Blacks and Latinos has hit an all time low.

It's time for Obama apologist Democrats, the ones using the Obama Delusion mantra, to face the reality that Obama will, if he runs for a second term, walk the path of George Herbert Walker Bush and Jimmy Carter.

Obama apologists argue that Carter lost because he was primaried by Ted Kennedy. I say Carter lost because the Democratic party failed to have the guts to switch horses when the signs were clear. We can learn from history. If we fail to, then Obama will join the ranks of defeated incumbent presidential candidates.

This week, Obama betrayed us by nullifying new, tougher EPA rules, dropping them to worse levels than even Bush approved. Deep in your heart you know he will betray Democratic values and stands on issues again and again. I did polls on progressive, left of Democrat site Opednews.com , and on Dailykos , asking whether respondents thought Obama would move left or right if he wins a second term. At Opednews, only 18% thought he'd move to the left. Twenty five percent thought he'd stay the same and 50% thought he'd move further to the right.

At dailykos, where the bloggers are more loyal to the Democratic party, even there, only 34% thought Obama would move further left. Thirty two percent thought he'd move further right and 31% thought he'd stay the same.

To put it another way, at Dailykos, 63% predicted Obama would stay the same or worse and at Opednews, 75% predicted he'd stay the same or get worse.

It seems like several times a month Obama betrays the people who took a chance with him. It's time to pull the plug on giving Obama a chance. Let him retire and go on the lecture circuit. I bet he'll team up with George Bush, maybe even Dick Cheney. They're both on legacy rescue missions, as he will be... or maybe not. Maybe he'll come out of the closet as the neoliberal elitist that he's been functioning as, take away the token social crumbs he's thrown to his base.

Michael Brenner, political and foreign policy analyst at University of Texas, Austin, and huffingtonpost blogger, thinks Obama is too narcissistic to be willing to let go of the job or to even realize he'll lose, telling me, in an interview for my radio show,

No. Narcissists never admit that they are wrong, that they fail. In their own minds they continue to look good, even it means buying into the philosophy of your opponents. The only thing that counts for Obama is staying in the White House no matter what the circumstances. he has no sense of shame, no conviction or sense of cause. As long as he stays in the White House for eight  years" he's quite confident that he can in effect spin reality in ways that would retain a positive image for himself and the public. He's a hustler.
