Ong actually published an article in which he argues that basically Jesuit spirituality aims to accentuate decision-making. The motto of Jesuit spirituality is to find God in all things. In Jesuit spirituality, one's decision-making is supposed to result from a process of discernment to discern to the best of one ability, "the life of the 'divine force' present in the whirlpool of happenings," as Huston puts it (page 118).
