As a nurse, often you could hear her complain that her profession was worked too hard and that she was "tired." Her most tiring nursing job was taking care of herself. She wanted to see and do the world, and several friends helped her do that, but the Maker of all this levied upon her heavy sacks to bear.
On November 1 she said to me: "I can't take it anymore... I'm tired of the suffering... I just want to die peacefuly..." I am calling hospice tomorrow..."
It was the last night Marlene slept on her stained mattress with hardly any sight. We are thanksgiving that she peacefully and cleanly rode through her ride to heaven on November 2nd. She earned it.
