We cannot evade responsibility by attributing mass killings to Evil or to God's plan - we can create a solution by using every avenue available: legislative, enforcement, education, community organization, mental health care, the alleviation of poverty and support for families.  Conflict resolution and how to deal with bullying should be taught in every high school.  It could make the tumultuous high school years the experience all young people deserve.

Nothing less than a multi-faceted drive will change the current narrative.  There shouldn't be a zero-sum game between our rights and our lives.
