However, the Venezuelan army has pledged its support for Maduro. Whether he and they can withstand the onslaught of internal opposition supplemented with agent-provocateurs almost certain to instigate violence and government reaction is hard to gauge.
Russia, though it supports Maduro has pledged to remain neutral with Russian Foreign Minister saying Russia will support attempts by conflicting parties to resolve their differences as long as they don't resort to violence while Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said Caracas has not asked for Russia's help and Moscow considers the situation in the country as an internal matter and doesn't plan to intervene diplomatically or in any other way.
Like it or not Venezuela is now the latest center of US machinations fomenting a coup creating internal instability in another country. Stay tuned.
