So why would there be so much anger, frustration and distress among a rapidly increasing portion of Americans? Well, perhaps it's because they have now come to the realization that, while globalization is generating massive profits for corporations and monumental salaries and perks for CEO's, it is killing the American manufacturing sector and its workers. It is tearing down our consumer-driven economy by eliminating the purchasing power of the American people. These people feel that they no longer are living the American dream but, rather, a societal nightmare with no end.

In this "greatest" nation in the world, we have cities falling apart, the violence in this country continues to ratchet upward, education is eroding, and the dream of owning a home is dying along with the middle class. Hundreds of billions of dollars are burned in the furnaces of war, leaving little to nothing for our domestic needs. What has happened to this country is shameful and the sad fact of the matter is simply this: if we had a government that operated in an ethical, moral and honorable manner, not under the influence of corporate money and power, most of the current, debilitating conditions could be brought under control.

Many writers are now predicting that, because of this government's very aggressive use of deadly drones in other nations, that it is creating new enemies at a much faster rate than it is destroying the established ones. And that, as the anger and hatred for America increases in these nations under attack, this growing army of new enemies is going to develop more and more creative ways by which to exact its deadly revenge against this nation; that's what's called "blowback."

So you would think that, knowing this, our government would be aggressively taking steps to mitigate distressed conditions in this society before they become uncontrollable. The last thing that it should want to see is a blowback coming from the American people. You would think that, wouldn't you? But there is no sign that these leaders have any intention of deviating from the current dangerous direction in which the American people simply do not want to go.

The only questions that remain are: how much longer will the American people continue to absorb the pain that is being inflicted upon them? And, secondly, if there is no form of relief forthcoming to relieve the intense pressure and growing anger, when conditions become even more intolerable, what kind of societal eruption will follow?

Those familiar with "trend projections" commonly used in performing statistical analyses and forecasting should easily understand that if we take the current level of anger and frustration being experienced by a large proportion of this society's people, with no relief in sight from this government, and project that trend into the future, the only conclusion can be that some form of societal eruption will occur.

But most Americans don't need statistical analyses to understand how such a scenario can materialize; they are in the midst of the turmoil, they feel the pain, the growing tension and anxiety within themselves. They are extremely frustrated and, yet, remain under control; but how long can that last?

So here's what we may see take place in America in the not too distant future. As has become very evident, there are many millions of former supporters of Mr. Obama, Democrats, progressives and independents, who are thoroughly disillusioned with his failures of leadership, his apparent ties to Wall Street, his escalating use of deadly killer drones, his kill list, his failures to investigate and prosecute torture and other crimes against humanity committed by the past administration. And there are those that believe that he has sold out his base supporters to become a charter member of the Washington Establishment. And many of these former supporters are very adamant that they will not vote for him again.
