Funny how that comes up right before this election when McCain is expected to pick Lieberman as his Vice Presidential running mate: that “bipartisan dream” we all share.
As it turns out, Lieberman (and not Norm Mineta, as McClellan says) was the consideration, before they figured Lieberman would be better as the new Vice-Cheney in the White House in 2009.
Remarkably, Olberman, in a follow up With John Dean had these things to say:
“Because impeachment would be the logical follow up here, but, obviously, the clock on impeachment is running down if it hasn‘t run down already…”
Obviously? But, the impeachment of Clinton took less time than is remaining in the term of this president.
And the articles of impeachment are already written for both Cheney and Bush (and Cheney’s is already in the hands of the House Judiciary subcommittee.
So what exactly makes this “obvious” to Mr. Olberman?
Dean says “As far as impeachment, I think we are too far down the road.”
Too far ‘down the road” for accountability? For the rule of law? Too far down the road for the Constitution to matter?
These are just fascinating statements coming from the progressive guru of main stream media.
Oh wait… main stream media… now I get it.
MSNBC is partly owned by GE… a defense contractor. Ahhh, now I get it.
Olberman’s slip is showing. I’ll never watch his show again.
