still bearing up against the coldness of a winter's day,
we might yet see in it a sign, a message from a source divine,
a promise of impending grace already on its way.
I hope that this brings Siegfried Othmer solace in bereavement,
for Sue, whose life was full of love, and hope, and great achievement.
For it is what the psalmist meant in words both deep and soaring:
That pain endureth for a night, but joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5)
