As to movies Trump wants to impose a 100% tariff on foreign made films entering the US. He somehow believes Hollywood has suffered from foreign made films entering the US and he wants to save it.
Here's a suggestion on that score. How about Hollywood using a little more imagination in their film making. Enough with the "Avatar" type humanoids. There's plenty of fine actors. Aren't there any "Trumbo's" left out there who can write a great film script?
I digress. Back to Trump. He seems addicted to applying tariff's to foreign made goods entering the US particularly those from China. The 145% tariff he imposed on them remains in place while there's a 90-day reprieve on tariffs to other countries with him demanding they renegotiate current contracts on goods entering the US on a one-to-one basis.
Throw in his talk of making Canada the 51st US state, taking over the Panama Canal, getting Denmark to relinquish its sovereignty over Greenland, attacking EU allies from sponging off US security because they don't provide 2% of domestic GDP to NATO, his ongoing deportation of immigrants, not to mention his antagonism toward Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky for not embracing a peace deal with Russia ending the war in Ukraine. Just a litany of his measures that contributes to destabilizing the world.
The world's financial markets are in turmoil enduring wild fluctuations in their stock markets. Some big banks on Wall Street are predicting a recession sometime this year.
Again this is typical Trump impulsive behavior without him reflecting and considering the consequences of what his actions will have on the world.
Who knows what to expect next. The reality is Trump has a free hand until the congressional elections in 2026.
Until then the Democrats in Congress have no power stop him.
As said before in this space better hold tight on what you have because we're in for a rough ride with the second coming of Trump.
