Their Black Boxes + Their Badvantages = Their Behavior and Their Consequences
A. Their "Black Boxes"
Black boxes is my metaphor for the power elites' personal traits and backgrounds. Two traits particularly, human disconnectedness and psychopathology, help explain the power elites' evildoing, which reflects a profound immorality.
1. Their Human Disconnectedness. Human connectedness, the existence of a positive, physical, visual or mental association between two or more human beings is like a chain across places and time. Searching for one's ancestry through DNA testing, for example, is one way to lengthen the chain.
Now I'll give you a few dead and living specimens of disconnected power elites in their own words.

Besides being a misogynist, Lincoln was a racist, disconnected from slaves. His Civil War, the deadliest for Americans of any U.S. military intervention, was launched not to free the slaves but to maintain the ability to expand the nation's territory and with it, greater markets and resources. The repercussions of the forced unification are felt, heard and seen to this very day. Most Americans would undoubtedly reject this version of "Honest Abe" because his legacy has been spun by the power elite.4
