Tests of democracy and civilized societies, as we are preached
by American democracy educators, are how women and minorities are treated. How
Israel treats its minorities is too well known world over to need reiterating
here. But how they treat their women is hardly mentioned and therefore remains unknown
to outside world. But that should not be true for Obama, American Congressmen
who regularly go or taken to pilgrimage of Israel by AIPAC, and, least of all, for
Lady Clinton. Did we ever hear any one of them speak a word on how badly women
are treated in Israel?
Yet, this is the "freedom" and these are the very "democratic"
and "liberal values" that:

Muslim world is not adopting!!!!!
Although created in the name of religion, no religious party
in its whole history has ever made it to power sharing at Government level in
Pakistan. Contrarily, created same time,
the "liberal' and "democratic" Israel has always one or the other religious party
as a given coalition partner in its government. It is these religious parties
who are responsible for all that I listed at the outset and much more against
their women.
Take, for instance, the most powerful of the Israel's religious parties, the Shas, which has been a coalition partner of both Likud and Labor since its establishment in 1984 by its current spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef. Here are some of his pearls:
- Israeli legal system is "court of gentiles" and judges of Israeli courts are "wicked."
- Jews who have got their marriage solemnized in secular courts must re-marry with a new ketubah -- because Torah doesn't approve of judges of secular courts as witness or to sign ketubah. For him continuing with such a marriage is like "living in sin with a prostitute." (Note: though both man and woman are equally responsible, only woman is declared "prostitute;" man remain pure, unblemished!)
- "A fitting witness [for a Jewish marriage] is a kosher person, a righteous, God-fearing person, an observant person, is an appropriate witness. Matrimony is a very serious thing. First and foremost a witness should be a serious, appropriate person."
- Judges should not accept testimony from women.
Ever heard of any Muslim religious leader anywhere debasing their women and legal institutions in such a lowly language?
Rabi Yosef is not any ordinary "spiritual' leader. He is considered as "the unchallenged kingmaker of Israeli politics" whose party currently holds 11 seats in the Knesset and 4 cabinet posts in the Netanyahu Government. That explains why Netanyahu is seeking his support and blessings for nuking Iran (bombing nuclear installation is not any different from dropping nuclear bomb).
