Iraq's government voted for the US to leave the country. As usual the US refuses and stays now under the pretext of protecting the Kurds in the northeast part of the country.
Syria-During the Arab spring of 2011 the US supported the so called democratic insurgents opposing Syrian President Bashar Assad accusing him of being a dictator. The US accused Assad of attacking his own people while backing the insurgents attempting to overthrow Assad.
The insurgents in rather short time had ISIS extremists interspersed with them. ISIS became dominant and subsequently would take over the major city of Aleppo, Homs and reach the outskirts of Damascus.
This continued until September 2015 when Assad requested its ally Russia to intervene bringing the Russian air force into the fray. They along with Lebanese Hezbollah and Iranian militants stemmed the tide against ISIS preventing the latter's takeover of the country.
Meanwhile the US entered Syria illegally without the approval of Assad. No matter. The US based its presence on its "global war on terror" and its support of insurgents against Assad. At present its military operates in the far eastern part of Syria stealing the country's oil. It also operates a base near the city of al Tanf on the border with Jordan.
At present the country has stabilized, its major cities liberated from the Islamic States occupation while forcing the latter into Idlib Province, the far west corner of Syria.
Then there's Ukraine. In February 2014 the US sponsored the coups and overthrow of legitimately elected President Viktor Yanukovych.
This brought a neo Nazi regime to Kiev. Almost immediately the people of Crimea rejected the post coups regime. They held a people's referendum and voted to join the Russian Federation. The Russian speaking people of Donetsk and Lugansk also refused the diktat of the Kiev regime and were attacked by the Ukrainian military. Over 8 years these attacks continued until Russia preemptively invaded Ukraine in February 2022 in defense of these Donbass people and before the Kiev regime was about to initiate a major military offensive on the region.
As we know Russia has received US and EU sanctions for invading Ukraine. Also the US and the EU have supplied $billions of armaments to Kiev regime. Early this month Ukraine started its long anticipated counter-offensive against Russian positions in eastern Ukraine. Reports indicate Ukraine has suffered thousands of troops lost, tanks and other heavy military hardware destroyed and to date no success in breaching Russian defenses.
Even this acknowledged failure of the counter-offensive hasn't deterred the US and its lackey partners in the EU who maintain they'll continue to arm Ukraine "for as long as it takes". Apparently to the last Ukrainian.
The US maintains it's not a direct participant in this war. It's simply using Ukrainian's as their proxy fighters while denying its supply of $billions in armaments does not rise to the level of it being a direct participant.
Again that smacks of absolute hypocrisy on the part of "official" Washington.
