Exhibit 18: I was told that LTC Garver was no longer in Iraq, that "You have not been approved to embed in Iraq by the highest in the media relations chain of command," and that "if you do fly to Kuwait, you will not be provided a
military escort in Kuwait for any reason.":
You have not been approved to embed in Iraq by the highest
in the media relations chain of command, LTC XXX. All of your work is noted, and radio interviews were also offered to you.
What's more, if you do fly to Kuwait, you will not be provided a military escort in Kuwait for any reason. Futhermore, we cannot cut you orders because you are not approved to embed.
Finally, LTC YYY left Iraq in September 2007.

Exhibit 19: I then appealed to Army Public Affairs Officer at the Pentagon. He replied:
Classification: UNCLASSIFIED
Caveats: NONE
Ma'am, I appreciate your note of 1:07 a.m. today, Feb. 7., though didn't get to it until about 5 a.m. today. This is the first communication Ican find from you here at the Pentagon about your request for an embed in Iraq. Will be happy to speak with you via phone, though please not at 1 a.m. May I ask, what media outlet are you reporting for or with?
I'm here in the United States and rely on our press center in Baghdad to assist visiting media, but will be happy to look into your concerns.
Very respectfully,
Army Public Affairs, Media Relations Division
Exhibit 20: On approximately February 10, 2008, I communicated with the pentagon PAO again by phone and he assured me that he was still looking into the matter. Faced with the possibility that he might still be able to get an embed position secured for me and also that I hadn't heard back from him by the time my flight was scheduled, I then left for Kuwait.
My Congresswoman's caseworker sent me the following e-mail, dated March 4, 2008, stating that the Pentagon PAO had allegedly called me with his decision on February 11, 2008. However, I had not received said call by my departure time on February 12 and left for Kuwait on that day, still hoping that the Pentagon PAO would come to my aid:
