Merkel thanked economy for "painful cuts" to Russia
Angela Merkel thanked the German economy that it has expected its employees to take painful steps for political sanctions against Russia. BDI President Grillo agreed. That the final bill must be settled by the German workers and taxpayers, was not raised during this assessment.

Greece's debt has increased by 240 billion euros to "rescue funds" to a record high of 177 percent. On Tuesday stayed schools and hospitals closed due to strikes.
