Please, GO to this link!  Diane Ravitch explains how the NPE (Network for Public Education)  helps voters to grasp which candidates and which resolutions are in the best interest of public education. "Before you head to the polls, know who the NPE endorsed in national, state & local elections. The NPE is  a c(4) political action group of the people -- which means we have no funding to offer those we endorse. Our endorsements are made after candidate's  documentation is vetted by our board,  which then recommends whether or not to endorse. "NPE Action has also taken positions on 3 ballot initiatives. If you live in these ballot initiative states, make sure to participate in these important votes," Dr. Ravitch implores. She knows that  legislatures seek to turn public schools and taxpayer money over to private charter schools. Learn before you vote!
