Preet Bharara,  tweeted this: “ I am angry and worried right now. As are tens of millions of Americans. I don’t know what will happen next but what I do know is this,Donald Trump is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on America: He is a liar. He is a cheat He has no principles He doesn’t listen He cares for none but himself. He is profoundly disloyal He doesn’t know facts He doesn’t read He doesn’t respect science He doesn’t get math He doesn’t acknowledge history He attacks war heroes while he pardons war criminals He whines about criticism as he spews nothing but bile He calls patriots “human scum” but surrounds himself with scumbags He says he’s for America though he cozies up to despots He claims to be alpha while he endlessly whines like stuck pig He said no one has more respect for women than he does He suggested he has a special talent for infectious diseases”...more

Couldn't do the whole list in 92 characters. Preet nails. but he doesn't explain The Threat Trump Poses because he is a serial liar, a narcissist and a bully who viciously mocks anybody who dares disagree with him. He worships power and fawns over authoritarians, whose paranoia he shares.

Trump is probably the most corrupt U.S. president ever yet he often baselessly claims his foes are corrupt. Trump is the biggest liar and fabulist ever to occupy the Oval Office yet he often falsely tars his critics as liars. Worse, Trump crisis management by lies, bogus numbers, and superstition have directly harmed the public safety and security of the United States. His contention that coronavirus would disappear as the warmer spring weather approaches is patently false.

He is a wrecking ball for what we already had in place:

* The Trump administration approved the U.S. use of land mines. That's a step back for global campaigns to ban their deployment.

* How Trump Boxed the EPA Out of a Major Climate Rollback - The Atlantic "It was the beginning of a fiasco that could soon have global consequences. The Trump administration has since proposed to roll back the tailpipe rules nationwide, a move that, according to one estimate, could add nearly 1 billion tons of carbon pollution to the atmosphere. Officials have justified this sweeping change by claiming that the new rules will save hundreds of lives a year. They are so sure of those benefits that they have decided to call the policy the Safer Affordable Fuel-Efficient Vehicles Ruleor SAFE, for short." ORWELL shivers in his grave

Now, the Trump administration is requesting $1.25 billion in new funding to address coronavirusan amount that Congressional leaders say is dangerously inadequate. To top it all off, Trump plans to pay for it by gutting programs that other vulnerable populations in the U.S. need.

  • Budget cuts: Trump's proposed budget would slash $4 billion in critical funding to the CDC and NIH. It also guts Medicaid, where millions of Americans get their health care.
  • Weakened response infrastructure: Trump shut down the National Security Council's global health security unit and never replaced the Senior Director of Global Health Security, who would be responsible for pandemic response.
  • Conflicting information: Trump refuses to acknowledge the reality of the crisis. CDC officials are warning that the spread of coronavirus is incredibly serious. Trump, on the other hand, is baselessly tweeting that the virus will go away with warm weather, and is obsessed with how the stock market will react rather than how we can keep Americans safe.

Garrison Keillor weighs in: "What spooked the stock market last week was not only the virus but also the spectacle of the Leader of the Free World announcing that we have nothing to fear but fear itself. He looked like a sixth-grader giving a science report who had not bothered to read the textbook. This was slightly terrifying. A reality TV star in charge of national intelligence." "His strong suit is insult and ridicule reassurance is alien to him."

Robert Reich weighed in: Donald Trump lies like most people breathe. The swamp was there before Trump got to Washington. One of the first tasks of the next president must be to drain the swamp and make sure our government works for the people, not corporations and special interests.

"What is it called when a President is placed above not just the law but the highest kind of law, which is the law for high crimes by the very people who literally make the law? You shouldn't have to think very hard about that: it's authoritarianism. Yes, really. There is no other word for it, and it is an empirical reality. You see, if the evidence doesn't matter, because the people's representatives have already decided that they will always acquit the President, then the President is above the law. Especially the highest kind of law, which governs high crimes, like treason and abuse of office. But if the President is above the law, then we are not really living in a democracy. This is the territory on whose borders America now finds itself. If you don't believe that, let me put it another way. Here is a small list of things this administration has (allegedly or not so allegedly) done. Bribery, blackmail, extortion. Concentration camps, kids in cages. Hate, dehumanization. Ethnic "bans" and the legal definition of those with impure blood as "public burdens." None of these apparently rise to the level of high enough crimes for the GOP to care about." Umair Haque

Trump is the greatest hoax? FALSE!

After all the outrage, all the protest, all the outpouring of emotion and shock, what is the outcome, the alternative to Trump? Biden. An elderly half corrupt man with symptoms of dementia. And no one cares.

I don't like Biden...but sir, do you not understand that Donald's behavior, as listed by this very intelligent man, is so beyond Biden's flaws. he can't read.. he doesn't listen to advice, is impulsive and knows nothing of history or science. Worse, he is a cruel man, a selfish narcissist who is more akin to a mob boss. He is dangerous. Anyone who watches his behavior knows this.

Yes, Trump is those things but so what? We are witnessing possibly the greatest failure of the US two party system in history. If one candidate is a horror, the answer is not more of the same. This takes voting for "the lesser of two evils" to a new record.

Is an elderly warmonger with dementia and public gaffes really an improvement over Trump? Democrats are far too pro -war - as shown by Biden's past, the suppression and insults hurled at Tulsi Gabbard and creating obstacles to leaving Syria, Iraq and Africa. Trump may lie his way out of all three. Godspeed.

Maybe, maybe .. if Biden chooses someone like Amy as VP. Then, voters can anticipate his demise to sadly put someone competent into the White House
