“Asleep at the Wheel” --a report  issued by the nonprofit advocacy group Network for Public Education, about waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal charter school program says:. ”The U.S. government has wasted up to $1 billion on charter schools that never opened, or opened and then closed because of mismanagement and other reasons. The  grant approval process for charters has “no attempt to verify the information presented” by applicants. The U.S. Education Dep't does not adequately monitor how its grant money is spent, & has “largely ignored or not sufficiently addressed” recommendations to improve the program made by its own inspector general.' Thank you NPE!!

The nonprofit advocacy group Network for Public Education, (NPE) is the BEST place to go if you want FACTS about schools in the 15,880 SEPARATE SCHOOL SYSTEMS in 50 STATES!, in this day of fake news, where the media is owned by the very people who need to see the INSTITUTION of public education disappearso they can create a 'market' to sell education products as a business!

That is why The Network for Public Education has prepared a toolkit, School Privatization Explained. You can download the toolkit here. It is especially important that your "school" representative grasp how education tax credits are no more than vouchers in disguise. They are likely to be promoted in this budget.

For an excellent primer on the topic of disguised vouchers, read NEPC's Kevin Welner's piece here.

'CHOICE' is the privateers Orwellian word to convince people that public schools offer no opportunity... which they can if they are funded by our tax dollars, which are now given away to the fraudsters.

I highly recommend you follow former ass't Secy' of Education, and one of Politicos' "50 Most Important Americans" --.Diane Ravitch's blog | A site to discuss better education for all

I have been using information from her site, about the state legislatures which are taking over the local schools, with nary an educator on board, and giving them to charters, with not a shred of oversight! Here is her piece on the A Slick Campaign for Privatization . Here is a link to Diane's posts on charter school corruption . Diane Ravich predicted the current disaster for public education years ago. How Not to Fix Our Public Schools and in her book Reign of Error: The Hoax of the Privatization Movement and the Danger to America's Public Schools

This is a nation wide conspiracy by the EDUCATIONAL INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX.. and the fraud follows it-.

THIS is all out war on education because DEMOCRACY depends on shared knowledge and they want to dumb the people down (link is to John Gatto) . They are using weapons of mass instruction to kill real learning and replace genuine curricula that enables critical thinking.
