Here is an article that looks at the economic impact of Medicare for All:

It is interesting to note that United States Health Consumption Expenditures in 2017 were equal to 17.2 percent of GDP (up from 6.2 percent of GDP back in 1970), far higher than the eight other large industrial economies.

Good link, Charles. And good luck to the people who would benefit...I say that because it's going to be hard for the people who want it legislated since the insurance companies have powerful lobbies. Well, they also have plenty of business, as far as I'm concerned, with insuring homes, cars, lives, floods, fires and I suppose anything else one might think of.

I've lived in two Democratic Socialist companies and the people in those countries are much happier than our huddled masses....free healthcare and college, for starters. In Germany, they even extend the free college education to international students. I'm personally not happy with Capitalism at all.

Paul-Craig Roberts & Rob Kall, Great interview with lots of insight by Dr. Roberts as to how decisions are really made in Washington by corporate including a preponderance of Zionist corporate influence. As a person with both Christian & Jewish family, I know how anti-semitism is used as a term to shut people up.

With investment driving economic development, I'm surprised more don't make the connection between multistakeholder participatory investment, progressive-ownership & decision-making for each of us in our fields of expertise/professions. Media, business, industry, commerce, multihome-dwelling-complexes(apartments, townhouses & village housing) where 70% of us live, government & thereby international relations.

EMPOWERMENT = ACCOUNTING-RECOGNITION

In order to capture 'bottom-up' human relations, the key place of empowerment for everyone is in accounting-recognition for all the contributions & investments everyone is making in their own corner of the world.

Time-math COMMUNICATION with time-based equivalency accounting was the foundation of all humanity's worldwide 'indigenous' (Latin 'self-generating') String-Shell accounting systems in the specialized Production-Society-Guilds on every continent & island of the world indigenecommunity/relational-economy/participatory-accounting Readers shouldn't be surprised to learn how integration of Capital, Currency, Condolence, Collegial-Credit & other human values were integrated within all humanity's worldwide 'indigenous' (Latin 'self-generating') 'community' (L 'com' = 'together' + 'munus' = 'gift-or-service') 'economy' (Greek 'oikos' = 'home' + 'namein' = 'care-&-nurture').
