Dear Father Greeley:
I have followed your columns and your work for a long time.
After Congressman Kucinich made his long explanation of 35 Articles of Impeachment on the US House of Representatives floor, Monday the 11th, I wondered what you would have to say. Perhaps I look too early. It took a couple of days for HR1258 to be formally included in the record, since it had to be forwarded to the House Judiciary Committee members. They now have a month for consideration, I wonder if you are doing some investigation into the issues before writing anything.
Since you understand opinion making, I bring up this new development which is widely discussed in online venues and boldly ignored in mainstream media. I listened to all five hours (nearly) of the charges levied against the President, and his men, and think the American public should be apprised of the enormity of this effort.
The thrust of the endeavor, according to Dennis Kucinich in a neighborhood radio interview, is to be sure that the Judiciary Committee read the Articles and determine whether to bring the Resolution to the floor of the House for debate. If the Committee does not ask for House consideration, Dennis Kucinich is free to introduce the Articles in his own right, as a member of the Judiciary Committee.
Your thoughts on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Respectfully, Margaret Basssett, Maryville, Tennessee 37801

Margaret Bassett passed away August 21, 2011. She was a treasured member of the Opednews.com editorial team for four years.

Margaret Bassett--OEN editor--is an 89-year old, currently living in senior housing, with a lifelong interest in political philosophy. Bachelors from State University of Iowa (1944) and Masters from Roosevelt University (1975) help to unravel important requirements for modern communication. Early introduction to computer science (1966) trumps them. It's payback time. She's been "entitled" so long she hopes to find some good coming off the keyboard into the lives of those who come after her.
