I realize you have only been in your office for 1 years now, but we have yet to see any investigations authorized by you on people or corporations that should be at the very least investigated. We continually hear Dick Cheney and George W Bush boasting about their war crimes and I know the document called the Military Commissions Act, signed by Bush pretty much exonerates them as that document trashes the Geneva Convention, but it does not exonerate them from murder, and that is exactly what has occurred in Iraq. There was no legal basis for illegally invading and occupying that nation. That is one area that you could be investigating. Of course with your ties that go back to the Reagan Administration, and even your ties to Bush himself when he hired you to defend him on a matter might force you to recuse yourself, but it shouldn't stop the investigation.
More recently, why aren't you looking into establishing an investigation of Tony Hayward, CEO of BP? As recent as three weeks prior to the bursting of the Gulf disaster he sold a good portion of his stock. Did he have prior warnings the rig was about to blow? If so, why didn't the company do something at that time to possibly prevent the disaster? Also, if he knew something why wouldn't his selling of stock be considered insider trading? I believe it is important enough to warrant an investigation.
Of course it appears all you are content with doing is holding a position with an important title while passing the time when you can either resign, or step aside for the next administration.
But, presently you are on the payroll of the people of the United States and I believe you need to begin earning your keep.
