Do you believe that the hearing yesterday was a bona fide search for the truth? Cohen testified that on 7/18/16, trump received a phone call from Roger Stone, informing him that an additional Clinton email dump by Wikileaks, was imminent, based on a phone conversation between Stone and Julian Assange. The problem? On 6/12/16, in a televised interview, Assange clearly stated that more emails were forthcoming, and that on 7/12/16, Wikileaks posted on Twitter that more emails were forthcoming. In addition, both Assange and Wikileaks have adamantly denied any conversation with Roger Stone.
Did corporate media, our representatives, or even Democracy Now, point out this disingenuous exchange by Cohen? Not that I can find, but a comedian and a genuine journalist did. Does free press mean that misleading and gaslighting comments are not deserving of rebuttal? Six companies own 85% of our information, and they have no patience for whistleblowers. Neither do neoliberal corporatists, that are pushing a false narrative, to veil their dysfunction as a party.
