(1.) I'm getting a bit frustrated hearing our government officials talk about there is plenty of blame to go around.
Let's start putting the blame at the feet of those responsible: lax government regulators, coporate lobbysists, public officials, and a bunch of greedy Wall Street con artists, confidence men, creative accountants, fraud artists, gamblers and swindlers who soaked consumers.
(2.) Any assets/debits assumed by the government ought to be forfeited, sold, and the proceeds should be put in the US Treasury.
(3.) Financiers must be held to account: through prosecution of criminality, fraud and abuse.
(4.) Courts ought to be permitted to renegotiate credit contracts at fair, affordable terms.
(5.) What happened to the billions of dollars lost on Wall Street over the past few months? Where is it? The Congress ought to be tracking it down! It didn't just evaporate into thin air...where is it?
(6.) The US Congress ought not rush through any bill of the kind that has been put forth by the administration: it is too sweeping in cost, broad in scope, and massive in transfer of power to be rushed! Slow down, THINK, hear independent voices, that's why your the Congress!
