The regal snow-king of Nature's absolute winter
Has unfurled his white wings over my land
Trapped under feet of fluffy freeze I wait
God only knows how long
His dominion is complete
Spring seems a thousand years away
There is no way to move
And right now no need to
Similarly, on Nature's shoulders, another king there is
Humankind rules over his own winter
Culture is in a deep freeze now
And only we can bring this thaw
Humans, though partly animal,
Have learned to speak with light and sound
They write and hear what they see
Mimmicing Nature and the very heavens
The great sound called "AUM" and its light-emanations,
The primal bedrock and stuff of this universe
Is tool for thought and speech and writing
Such is the sophistication of humans
But then we forget we made this cultural thing
And become its servant and not its lord
Trapped under feet of freeze we become
Creating our own culture-winter
