Those who simply don’t want the truth about 9/11, often paint the truth movement as a vindictive crusade. Nothing could be further from the truth.
So what is it about? TRUTH.
A book that many have heard about that holds some great truths in it, said that “the truth shall set you free.”
How can it set us free?
On 9/11 Americans especially, but to some extent much of the world, was put under a spell. A spell of hatred, racism, religious intolerance, and vicious retribution.
On 9/11/2001 one third of the world population was demonized, their religion was demonized, and their nations were put in the sights of a Western world ready to aim their massive militaries at whoever the Bush Administration told them to pull the trigger on.
I remember a Canadian Broadcasting journalist was in New York City after 9/11 interviewing New Yorkers asking them if they had a problem with the US bombing Afghanistan, since innocent Afghanis would be killed in those attacks. Almost unanimously those Americans replied, “Too bad. Somebody has to pay.”
For Americans we lost much of our democracy on 9/11/2001, when the Bush Administration rolled out the Patriot Act against almost no opposition. Daschle and Leahy in the Senate stood against the Patriot Act and received US military grade anthrax in the mail for their trouble. It is painfully obvious that the massive Patriot Act was written BEFORE 9/11/2001.
Americans became the targets of illegal domestic spying after 9/11/2001. Our national treasures began to poured away from domestic spending of social uplift, toward militarism. Over 50% of US discretionary spending is now military.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. warned that “a nation that year after year continues to spend more on militarism than programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death.”
On 9/11/2001, America was sent down a path toward spiritual death.
What should 9/11 Truth activism call for?
We should be calling for a national program of “Truth and Reconciliation.”
After the white apartheid regime ended in South Africa, President Nelson Mandella’s administration adopted a program of “Truth and Reconciliation.” This meant that any officials involved in the crimes of the rascist apartheid government’s torture and mass murder of its black citizens . . . would be forgiven legally and serve no time, IF they came forward and told the WHOLE TRUTH. South Africans took to heart the Bible’s admonitions of A) forgiveness, and the fact that B) the truth shall set you free.
This is what America must have. Full truth.
