French impressions about Russian people, 19th Century

Our illustrious President- Elect with his  glossy smile  had just delivered a speech. He is good in making speeches. By this time his smile is already on all the memorabilia. I would like to  offer a design of my own:  A false gold coin with Bush  on one side with the  statement around him, ‘Mission Accomplished’ and  Obama – on the other side, smiling and  with the statement, ‘Sacrifice is Necessary.’ There should be a ‘e pluribus  unum’ on the edge. This coin I  suggest to distribute  during the coronation  (sorry, inauguration that is) for free.  Let Sasha  and Malia throw those coins to the masses.

If Joe Lieberman does not have to sacrifice anything why   should I?  I did nothing wrong. Joe did everything wrong and he stays where he is- a Chairman of the Committee overseeing the  entity created by the act which was unlawful and stays that way. This entity now has 200000 employees, all on my payroll. You know, my son  said about Obama ‘Khrushchev is black.’ Hardly. When Khrushchev came to power, the first thing  he did was to  destroy the Secret Police, take away its  powers and put to trial   the chief executioners. Hey, here we  let Chertoff go nicely to the greener pastures and let Madame Napolitano  to  lead this monstrosity. She will now be our  USA  Rosa Klebb (Go read From Russia with Love) I have not heard anything about other similar entities; hey, what is Mr. Negroponte doing nowadays?  Painting himself Democratic?

And what about all those promises?   You know, folks, when I see Hillary I can imagine anything BUT peace, when I see Summers – anything BUT common sense, when I see Gates- anything  BUT  stopping wars, when I see a Dashle- anything BUT healthcare, when I see all those ladies-in- waiting appointed to counseling positions I see the people whose  sole purpose is  NOT to make any decisions until they are  told.   No, I do not see  ANY Trade Union person in power or even close. I do not see any  TRUE PROFESSIONAL in charge of anything. Hey, how about Secretary of Labor? Labor, for goodness  sake?   Obama throws  a new promise at us – 2.5 million jobs.  Oh, well. Why not 3 million?  Are we going West again?  Our infrastructure crumbles, that is true. So….. we need to give 20 billion dollars to Citigroup to mend it? I don’t understand.  And why is that the President of the US must promise jobs? He has to promise  to create a JOB-DEVELOPING environment!  Am I sleeping or  is it  really Khrushchev in power? That guy truly promised jobs to his young because under socialism the govt has to do that - it is the only employer. Now, we here in the US are CAPITALIST. That would mean that the  govt   should NOT create jobs- it has to HELP to create jobs. How  does it?  War in Iraq? Not a chance. War in Afghanistan? Nope.   NAFTA…… OOPS? I want  to hear how this interesting entity HELPED to create jobs. And what jobs?

Like  I would also expect  the  Congress instead of lamenting about the  Detroit CEOs flying private jets simply ask those if they, if receiving the money would be able  to help in job creation  and what jobs and how. Would those corporations take on themselves a citizen’s obligations, say to mend the infrastructure in the state of Michigan and as such TRAIN new  skills? That’s what I would ask.  I would ask  Citigroup to… ( Oh, boy) to develop a project of economic revival of Central- Southern Appalachia and   hand it over to the Congress  before  they get a penny. I would ask  Haliburton to take over for FREE the repair  of the bridges  in the USA as a token of appreciation for  getting away with the stolen loot.  The no- bid contract.  YES, I would do that if  I was  the smiley guy on the podium.  If after THOSE folks  make their sacrifices  there would be more needed I would  ask the average citizen to pitch in. But  only AFTER, not before.

Folks, my dear people- hope is a great aphrodisiac. We voted for Obama and now we treat him as if he is a Light of Zarkon- it shines when he smiles and it rains when he is sad.  So far I do  not see even a slight  beam of that.  I see quite the opposite- it rains when he smiles.  I see England, I see France, I see a girl’s underpants but I do not see the light. Help me because  it starts to remind me about  the poor lady from the S. Lewis’s  ‘It Can’t Happen Here.’ She dared to ask   the new President about  the 5000 dollars he promised to everyone before he was elected. Go, read what happened to the  poor thing. Please, folks, I want Obama  to succeed. I voted for him  but I do not want to sacrifice. Call me when  Joe Lieberman does.
