Bill Douglas directed campaign operations in several districts of Los Angeles as a professional staff member of the Dukakis Campaign. He served as a district manager for Democratic Senator Alan Cranston’s Project Democracy. He was a professional staffer for Jerry Brown’s bid for California State Democratic Chair, and later as a full time volunteer as O.C. media director for Brown for President. Bill worked on the Californian’s for a Bi-Lateral Nuclear Freeze, was Director of the Central American Task Force on El Salvador, and served under the auspices of the United Nations High Commission on Refugees in Central American refugee camps during Reagan’s dirty wars in Central America. He served as OC Director of the anti-war environmental Operation Real Security, and was a media coordinator for Kansas City’s stop the war movement, Founder of the National 911Visiblity Project, and previously served as the original national outreach director of 911Truth.org. Bill and his wife also worked as full time volunteers for the John Kerry Campaign in both Missouri and in Nevada.
