I spend most of the year ripping into the right wing Lords of Loud. It's so fun and they make it easy. It's hard to resist. But this Thanksgiving week I find it more apropos to take a moment and thank these men and women for their positive influence, giving me so many opportunities to teach my children how to be a good person and a good American.

There are so many to whom I owe a debt of gratitude, but especially, I'd like to thank...

Rush Limbaugh for blowing the Right Wing moral ground out of the water by mocking Parkinsons-sufferer Michael Fox and then admitting he was by "carrying the water for those who didn't deserve it." Children, eat your greens and do what's right instead of worrying how much money you can make or you could end up like that big fat hateful hypocrite.

Glenn Beck for, oh Christ, every one of a myriad idiotic comments. See kids. Being perfect isn't necessarily the best thing, especially when it applies to an a**hole.

Bill O'Reilly for inserting his sociopathic self-important machismo into every issue. Casey, m'boy, you're only eleven, but now do you see how not to be a real man.

Sean Hannity for reporting what the Liberal Mainstream Media refuses to, like when he continually reports that the Iraqi WMD we went to war for were found, even though the White House, which could have walked away with the election if that were true, said they weren't. Kelly, honey, you should always do the best you can, but I hope you understand now that you don't have to be smart to be successful.

Michael Medved for showing them that just being smart doesn't mean you know what you're talking about.

Mark Levin for proving that even with a law degree, just how stupid you can sound when you're a bully.

Laura Ingram for illustrating so well just how much she really cared about Democracy by suggesting that callers jam Democratic voter phone lines. See kids. This is the walk the walk thing I keep talking about. You're never judged by your words, but by your actions.

And Michael Savage for becoming the country's number three radio talk show, confirming no matter matter how hard you try to help people, there are those who are just plain too sick to be helped.

There's so many more of you and I hate to leave any of you out because you've all contributed in your own little way of creating so many important lessons for my kids.

And for all of that want to say, bless you. My kids are better for it.

Steve Young, who learned that just becuase television doesn't buy you ideas it doesn't mean to can't write them as kid novels for HarperCollins ("Winchell Mink, The Misadventures Begin," "15 Minutes."
