WaPo's Bogus NSA Poll Gets High GOP Echo Chamber Rotation, beyond the Usual Toxic Fox/Rush Drudge Routine; Poll data on

WaPo, CNN, as well as the usual Fox faux journalists have been Running Defense for NSA's Hayden Appointment

Thursday, the USA Today revelation of the NSA spying on millions of Americans' phone calls hits the fan. By Friday, the spin police are out in full force. The talking points for the day are nailed with an instant poll from Richard Morin-- who jumped on the opportunity to poll for Clinton's impeachment, but who refuses to poll on Bush's impeachment.

Mr Morin, with the apparent integrity of rotting garbage, runs a poll that is extraordinarily misleading and all the networks run with it. It says that a majority of Amerians are okay with spying, that only 35% oppose it. This is garbage, disgusting garbage, but not as disgusting as the fact that all the networks echo chambered this garbage every 20 minutes all day long, with chubby forty something "experts" assuing the listeners that "it's okay" and natural for the government to spy, without warrants, on average citizens. They make like it is the normal, rational thing to do in these times when we are at war with terrorists, to use any means necessary to fight terrorism.

Sorry, but this is bullshit. This is propaganda designed to protect people who have been breaking the law. Bush tells us it's okay, that it's lawful. But he does hundreds of things that he says are lawful that break the law.

We have a major, dangerous failure of the media in this nation. Usually, we expect Fox News to totally support whatever the right wing extremists currently running congress and the white house do. But we have some expectation that the other networks, will at least to some extent, keep some portion of honesty.

That didn't happen on Friday. It seems like all the ones I watched were promulgating the lie based on the Washington post's garbage poll.

I know about polls. I am one of the handful of people in the US who actually designs the questions and commissions the polls. I may be the only media person in the country who is not employed by a billion dollare conglomerate. I know how easy it is to create a question that gets the answer you want. Pollsters know how to make sure they get what they want. They don't do it if they want to really know what people think. They change the way the question is asked to make it LESS likely to influence the result.

Last night, for the first time, I saw David Sirota on CNN, with Lou Dobbs. He did great. He should be a regular there.

Dobbs asked about the poll showing that 63% of people are okay with the latest NSA spying disclosures. David replied that they asked the wrong question and should have asked if people approved spying without court approved warrants. This thoroughly disconcerted Dobbs.

On the Firedog lake website, they point out that previous polls have shown people are highly opposed to unauthorized spying.

Newsweek is now reporting in a poll IT did, that 53% oppose the spying. We have low fat food. .Now WaPo gives us low integrity polling.

Our recent May 9th-10th OpEdNews / Zogby poll found that poll respondents supported censure because of NSA spying between 20% and 100% more than they did because of Bush misleading us into war. The spying issue is BIG. People DO care.

Bottom line-- the mainstream media are getting worse-- less responsible to the public, more dominated by the corporate conglomerates that own them. They are worthless, dangerous tools being massively manipulated, played by Bush and his Bushites.

We need new media, replacements for these rotten, worthless frauds. It looks, from our most recent poll, that Fox has not been as successful at reaching the under 25 viewers. There is an opportunity there, in particular, since the under 25s are also leaning more left. Al Gore has been working on such a network. We need it and we need networks that tell the truth without spin. We need media that are willing to shine light where cockroaches like our Attorney General Gonzalez scurry about breaking laws, corrupting the judicial system.

Our latest OpEdNews / Zogby People's poll asked; "Which of the following networks do you use as your source for news?"
Fox viewers comprised 37% of the poll responders. CNN was a distant second with 21%. Fox was the preferred news source for 75% of Republicans and less than 2 percent of Democrats. 68% of those who pick Fox as their first TV news media choice are male, not surprising with all the minimally clad women routinely shown on the show.
We also asked which was the second choice of viewers. This produced an interesting finding. No viewers of networks other than Fox chose Fox as their second choice. 60% of Fox viewers chose, as their second choice, "other" about 13% chose MSNBC and ten percent chose CNN and ABC.

Radio listening is very different for different TV news network watchers.
