That explosive, exhilarating, all-consuming surrender to being in love can be experienced within the full range of human capability.

When I've worked long and hard on a project; slept, dreamt and wept over it, finding those perfect final touches, I feel that explosive, exhilarating, all-consuming surrender to excellence.

Maybe I just enjoy experiencing exhilarating, all-consuming surrender. Some portion of the human population always does.

Sometimes, it matters nothing that the social cause I champion will lose, is losing, has been lost for decades.

I'm not here to win; I'm here to lead a life worth living. Don't follow me - my path may kill you; it's damn near killed me a few times. Or, it might discomfort you when I exercise my legal and spiritual prerogatives.

Be your own leader, because we are the leaders we've been waiting for. The Democrats aren't going to save us; most of them are merely system guards.

What should be widespread panic about electronic voting is being ignored by the major parties on all of their TV and radio ads this season. Instead, they engage in age-old mudslinging. I nominate the mute button as the best invention of the 20th century.

Dems advise, "Let's not panic the masses" that we vote on systems wholly hackable, and for which there is no basis for confidence in reported election results. Dave Berman calls it "Faith-based reporting on faith-based voting."

I disagree with Dem strategy. Kerry's Concession not only conceded his race, but it also conceded this nation to profit-crazed, genocidal maniacs. When Shame on Sherrod Brown voted for torture, he sealed a devil's deal with Republicans, and permanently ended my association with the Democratic Party.

To the parties who bring us e-voting: A pox on both your houses. May you live in interesting times.

For a litany of some of my other rants against the Democrats, see "Minimum Wage or Slave Wage," at; "Redfern Backs Corrupted Noes," at; and "Spine, Spine, Everywhere a Spine," at

The future needs us to begin building parallel institutions that can support society as the corrupt institutions, in this case U.S. voting, crumble from lack of integrity, accountability, transparency, and credibility.

Let's model honest elections by running our own hand-counted paper ballot system in our own neighborhoods. Find info at or

Videographers seek help shining a light on Election Day. Ohio's Free Press effort is being coordinated by Melissa Giraud,

Or, provide voters with a number of agencies to call or contact in case something goes wrong with their vote. You can do this by being a Challenger, a poll watcher, a pollster or a videographer. 1-866-OUR-VOTE

In 2004, Rady Ananda joined the growing community of citizen journalists. Initially focused on elections, she investigated the 2004 Ohio election, organizing, training and leading several forays into counties to photograph the 2004 ballots. She officially served at three recounts, including the 2004 recount. She also organized and led the team that audited Franklin County Ohio's 2006 election, proving the number of voter signatures did not match official results. Her work appears in three books.

Her blogs also address religious, gender, sexual and racial equality, as well as environmental issues; and are sprinkled with book and film reviews on various topics. She spent most of her working life as a researcher or investigator for private lawyers, and five years as an editor.

She graduated from The Ohio State University's School of Agriculture in December 2003 with a B.S. in Natural Resources.
