As a former Republican, I want to reach out to every single Republican within the House and Senate that this war and President Bush’s legacy is not worth saving. To do so would be detrimental to the American people.
What is worth saving is our reputation and credibility in the eyes of our citizens and the world community. In both cases this administration has done the complete opposite. It used to be that one could hold their head up high and say, “I am an American” as one traveled the world and one wonders if travelers can do the same today. That is if they can afford to travel.
After the attacks on 9/11 when President Bush retaliated against those who attacked us namely al Qaeda, I was with him. I wanted al Qaeda demolished as they demolished the World Trade Center, hit the Pentagon and took down an aircraft in Pennsylvania.
