A Vote Not Wasted

After Ron Paul's disappointing 3% support Tuesday I know I did the right thing by showing my support for the best and most honest candidate and I'm happy to be part of the intelligent minority. 60,000 votes is better than zero. For better or worse the campaign made a strategic decision and forfeited Florida a long time ago.

I personally devoted a lot of time to the grassroots effort not because I thought I'd be part of a "winning team" but because I believed in the message. Though I may be discouraged my support has not waned. Going up against the establishment is not an easy task and I learned a hard lesson in politics.

It is disconcerting for me to witness how many people have come to be completely fooled by their leaders. Let's face the facts. The majority of voters are uninformed, unable to critically think, naive, and easily led. Ask the average person what they think of NAFTA, the Federal Reserve, or the dollar's rapid decline as the world's reserve currency and they will answer you with a blank stare.

Just look at the guy who won the FL GOP Primary. This is a guy who co-sponsored a bill that was designed to give complete amnesty to illegal immigrants and you'd think he would know something about illegal immigration coming from a border state. But this fact has seemed to completely escape the public consciousness. Secondly, he goes on TV and says we could be in Iraq for 100 years. What American in their right mind would say, "that's a good idea!"

While McCain's supporters fret over Arab terrorists with AK-47s half a world away, I will be keeping a close eye on our own government. Ask yourself some serious questions and be honest. Who has done more harm to our freedoms in this country? The Muslims or our own government. Has the government used radical Islamists as an excuse to chip away at the Constitution? I am often reminded of a quote by Benjamin Franklin that went something like; "Those who are willing to give up liberty for temporary safety deserve neither." Who does our government work for today? Does it work in the interest of and take its orders from the people? Or does it work in the interest of the massive transnational corporations and the less than 1% of the population known as the globalist elites. I would argue that NAFTA is proof of the latter. These are very serious questions no matter how hard the mainstream media avoids asking them.

The vast majority of Americans want to end the war and close the borders. But still our government does nothing. It has become completely unaccountable and out of control. Instead of fixing problems they sneak harmful legislation through Congress and offer fake solutions that cause more people to become dependant upon an increasing bureaucracy.

Obama and Hillary are in a race to see who can bring communism to America the quickest. He is a good speaker and has cultivated an image as the candidate of "change." But if you actually research his background from before and after he entered the Senate you will discover that he is nothing more than corporate/globalist scum. Hillary has somehow maintained an image of being against the Iraq war. But if you look at her voting record in the Senate she has done everything possible to continue the war. She is corrupt and has all the blessings of the Bush administration. Unfortunately too many people seem to be unaware of this fact also.

Obama, Clinton, Romney, and McCain; a vote for any of these people is not a vote of change but is instead a vote for the status quo and politics as usual. The only difference between them is that some are more socialistic than others. With the help of the corporate controlled mainstream media the majority of the public has remained asleep. Here is a good rule of thumb for people to live by. Whoever the media is telling you to vote for, vote for the other guy.
