Your Registration Status, Don't Leave it to Chance

It's one thing to fill out a voter registration form, it's another
thing entirely to confirm that you are in fact registered.  The
average voter stops short of the latter, placing their confidence in
our electoral process; they submit their registration forms and wait
until Election Day.  Without fail after every election the number of
stories and reports of voters who have been turned away at their
polling locations leaves one to believe that the act of voting is
often left to chance.  Insistent that they are in fact registered,
these voters are inadvertently disenfranchised by the roadblocks that
comprise our electoral process.  An error in filling out ones form
could be the difference between exercising ones right to vote, and a
walk to ones polling location that amounts to little more than
exercise.
Hoping to increase the transparency of our electoral process and
provide voters with an easy way to confirm their registration status
Moveon.org and Catalist have put together votepoke.org.  The site
enables voters to confirm their registration status.  Check your
registration status and pass along the link.   This election don't
leave anything to chance.
