The shameful act of delivering a formal speech to the House of Representatives by Foxx was a disgrace to the American people. This representative from the State of North Carolina who is formally educated in the study and classification of human societies and has a doctorate in education demonstrated how far the conservative movement will go to make a fool of themselves in public forums. Her ignorance has disgraced the University of North Carolina, a well-respected university in the United States, from where she received graduate degrees.
She was speaking of the hoax that Matthew Wayne Shepard was not tortured and subsequently murdered because he was gay; and therefore, the American people have no need for a hate crime bill to be passed in the House of Representatives. What is distressing is the fact that while she was speaking, Matthew Shepard's mother was sitting in the gallery. The disgraceful woman had the audacity to belittle the events leading up to the tragic death of a young man in front of his mother.
