Life wracked by,
The legacy of those,
Determined to pierce our side,
Even to put an end,
To life.

Yet, the greatest wound of all,
Is not that which,
Comes from our foe.... but rather,
That which issues forth from,
That of our own hand.

Like an animal,
Acting in kind,
Avenging its prey,
A once-done,
Dastardly deed.

Anger having won the day,
Puked soil now stained with blood,
The enemy falls to our side,
Taking with him,
Another deadened soul.
