The Ultimate Answer for Reducing Global Warming, Creating a Debt and Disease free Nation, Feeding the Poor and Hungry, Reducing Unemployment, and Putting an End to War! Dedicated to Howard Zinn: Aug. 24, 1922 - Jan. 27, 2010 HOW? Plant one seed! Ideally, one organic brown rice seed!

Yes, you are reading this correctly. Planting one organic grain seed at the White House in the spring of 2010 with Michelle Obama in her NEW organic garden can help solve these six problems:

Global warming

National Debt

Sickness & Spiraling Healthcare Costs

"War on terrorism"

Here's How!

1) GLOBAL WARMING: Consider that grasses or grain is the best sequester of carbon dioxide on the planet. This is according to John Ware Dowling, a fellow in Australia, and a carbon farmer since 1977, in his report: Organic-Aeration Agroforestry Net System submitted to the Environmental And Natural Resources Committee in Australia on December 4, 2009.

In early 2007, Al Gore and Richard Branson advertised their interest in carbon sequestration technology by announcing a $25 million US Dollars (USD) prize to go to the first individual or group that could remove/sequester a billion tons of CO2 per year from the atmosphere for a ten-year period. I recently found Mr. Dowling's report from which revealed his discovery of how to do just that: John Ware Dowling created the following common sense organic technology at his farm, Sequoia Pastoral. Based on the premise that roots of monocot plants require carbon dioxide, one can sequester 1,000 tons of CO2 per/hectare* per/year by building soil to a depth of 7ft., which greatly increases the soil carbon bank. A continuous gaseous exchange from the soil to the air above is exchanged naturally through photosynthesis, which allows Nature to put down large amounts of soil carbon very rapidly. One then plants, and nature grows grasses and monocots such as cereals: wheat, barley, sorghum, and the like (personal note here: I like rice - organic rice.) In certain locations, one can grow 2 crops per year. With organic grain growing on 1,000,000 hectares one could sequester 1 billion tons of CO2 per year - forever!

Not only that, one could sell carbon credits. According to Carbon Emissions Offset Directory one can receive anywhere from $1 to $99 per ton of carbon for having an invention that could sequester carbon dioxide from the air. In dollars, this could translate to $440 billion per year when just under 30,000,000 acres are planted!**

In growing that organic grain, we not only sequester 12 billion tons of CO2 from the air, it also can be used to pay off the national debt.

Here's how!

By planting one grain of organic rice in the spring of 2010 with Michelle Obama at the White House, the exponential number of grain seeds harvested and sold or collateralized over 8 years could be more than enough money or to pay off the national debt. Here's the math:

Plant one (1) organic grain of rice in the spring of the first year (2010) with Michelle. In the fall, harvest 214 organic grain seeds from the White House Garden.
