Today, I wrote an article, Crazy For Change-- Debillionairizing America, Eliminating Dynasties  that started as a response to one of our regular naysayers. Tell me something is impossible and it inspires me to work harder. Tell me it can't be done and you set me on fire to make it happen. Opednews is going to light up with energy, determination, passion and enthusiam for making change happen-- for envisioning the changes that need to happen. We will shoot high, asking for the stars, perhaps settling for the moon-- but absolutely not settling for the scraps we've been thrown by Obama, Pelosi and Reid.
Every visionary was first called crazy, was told his or her visions and goals were impossible. That's the way the world works. We WILL not accept being told our progressive vision is impossible. We will prevail.
Join us on this journey. I'm already on my way, with the wind in my face.

From the look of things, MSNBC is turning into a real front for the Obama admin and the Democratic party-- not for progressives.
Watching them celebrate how wonderful the deal Obama cut was,  watching Lawrence O'Donnell belittle criticism of the deal, made me realize that those of us who are really hewing to progressive values and issues, seeing what's really going on, are pretty lonely in the media world.
Here at Opednews, we're going to re-double our commitment to envisioning and fighting for big change, not just traffic bumps that slow down the corporatist duopoly fueled by billionaire sociopaths.
We're going to call out the limp liberal obamatrons who accept Obama's lousy deals and defend him with the same tired excuses. We're going to call for Obama and the Democrats to man up and get tough and put out a vision of a future that does not include a slide into corporate control and enablement.
We're raising the bar on envisioning and calling for actions to level the income imbalance we have. We're going after too-big-to-fail corporation. We're joining forces with others-- Thom Hartmann, Norman Solomon and Jeff Cohen of RootsAction   to debillionairize America. We'll continue working as the go-to website for whistleblowers and election integrity advocates.
We can't do it alone. We need writers-- you don't have to be famous, You do have to think and care and be able to write coherently, preferably with courage and vision. Make this year, 2013 the year you step from the crowd and find your voice.
We need donors to help support our work. We make Opednews.com happen with the tightest margins and lowest budget of all the progressive media-- and we've done it so well google rankings put us at the top for searches for liberal news or progressive opinion Click here to donate.  or click here to sign up as a premium member.
And we can definitely use volunteers -- for editing, posting articles, recruiting new writers, covering breaking stories, actions, protests, conferences, doing media, fund-raising.
