Few Lefties Realize the Scope of the Problem

The Bushco phenomenon dates back at least 6o years [or 75 years if you count Prescott Bush's attempt to overthrow the government]. Headhunting lefties seek headlines and ego enhancement with Bush/Cheney charges. They have swallowed the brain washing propaganda that a few leaders mastermind events. In reality, they rule with the participation of thousands of fellow travelers and millions of docile dupes from the electorate.

That's what 60 years of information control and cynical manipulation can do the body politic.

No Matter What Happens Blame the Jews

When Ari Sharon set up democratic institutions in Gaza and withdrew, he got an avalanche of criticism from all sides. He answered. "It doesn't matter what we do. We get the heat in any case. So, we can ignore world opinion and do what is in our heart. I am doing this in hope that my grandchildren won't have to fight the Palestinian grandchildren."

Well, that didn't work out when the Palestinians and the Hezbollah attacked us.

This time the Israelis did a unilateral cease fire, which got us five hours until the Hamas resumed firing. Nine hours later they gave us a week to get out of Gaza, or they would resume hostilities. Twelve hours later they attacked us in three separate incidents while we were in the process of withdrawing.

This drew Israel much criticism some of which appeared on this thread. America is not able to implement the wisdom of Obama.

Mac is on the Outside

On Laos the Americans dropped one bomb every eight minutes for seven years. To this day the Laotian farmers are afraid to farm, as there are millions of unexploded fragments in the ground. Why don't we hear from them? They don't have 300 millions of citizens, a lock on huge oil reserves and a virulent hatred to feed. The Arabs are experts in the generation of falsehoods. Here's an example. Do you remember when the Iraqis devastated a Kuwaiti hospital? The story went out that they killed babies when they stole incubators. A beautiful Kuwaiti nurse testified before a Senate Committee about the Iraqi savagery. America went to war.
Years later I saw the 'nurse' who was Kuwaiti Royalty studying in Switzerland at the time of the 'atrocity.' She had mouthed a fantasy concocted by a European PR firm. It put America into the Gulf War.
Mac,I am boots on the ground so to speak. Every day I meet more Israelis, Bedouin and Arabs than an average American meets in a lifetime. I know most of the Jewish and Arab folkways and mores. Outside pundits don't know.

Since You Asked: The Ways of the Torah are Sweet

Religion is show business. It provides a few diversions and joys for those tedious days between birth and death. It lends a structure to life defining variations on the fruitful directions we can pursue. Religion defines the roads we must not travel and the deeds that must be left undone. God is the scorekeeper noting each act along the way. His messenger the Messiah delivers everybody's score card at the end of days. Each human being is responsible for what he does on each side of the ledger.
