Don't Be "Occupied" by the Brain Police; Occupy Your Own Brain
Introduction
We are all fellow neurons of a Common Overmind. That is why telepathy works. But we must learn how to transcend the ego to be aware of this. When a flock of birds moves in perfect unison it exhibits this ability or awareness of a bigger consciousness that does not fit into one bird brain.
Animals do not have egos yet so they are in touch with the common mind of their species. To don a human mind we separate from this commonality and become much more distinct individuals, which is both good and not so good at the same time.
First we don egos and later we are meant to transcend them. When we transcend our egos we do it not by obliterating them but by putting them in service of something greater. Sheldrake's morphogenic field and the Overmind of our species is something we will some day be conscious of. And that must be a precursor of being able to share in a greater Overmind i.e. THE OVERMIND that Edgar Cayce talks of. He calls it the "Akashik Records" or the Overmind of the universe. He claimed to have been able to access it. I believe that to a lesser degree we all do this kind of thing.
We obviously can not do all that expansive thought stuff most of the time. Getting back to the mundane world we access normally we must come down to earth and use more humble technologies like the written word. But we also need to remember that we are a species evolving and there is no need to keep ourselves so earth-bound that we can not occasionally shake loose of current cultural self-imposed limitations that are not always necessary. I like to call this unnecessary self-limitation "Brain Police".
