Until about a month ago, Ahmadinejad's re-election seemed assured. Despite all the bluster from the US about human rights in Iran, there's no doubt they are comfortable with Ahmadinejad. There are theories about who would have been the better leader in terms of relations with the US and Israel. This speculation is quite absurd. Ahmadinejad is the best choice for furthering the current agendas of both nations.
