| Let's hope that President Bush, in figuring out what to do in his post-presidency, borrows a page from Jimmy Carter. At the end of the day, this one-term president who left office a pariah in his own party will transform the lives of more people in more places over a longer period of time than any other recent president. But there are still lots of diseases waiting for a wealthy, well-connected Texan to lead the fight against. |
