When math guru Les Roberts used conflict epidemiology to calculate that, by 1999, the death toll in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo was not the 50,000 being quoted, but 1.7 million, his work was widely accepted, including by the US Govt. But when he went to Iraq and, using the same technique, calculated that Iraqi war dead were five times what the outfit "Iraqi Body Count" was professing, he was "fuzzy math" branded.
