With Nominations, Bush Seeks End to FEC Impasse

Impasse continues. There are only 2 sitting members of the Federal Election Commission, so President submited 4 names, one of which is opposed by Dems (citing his civil rights record). So the impasse exists in Senate between Reid and McConnell. Until someone blinks, no FEC action is possible.
