| 1st Quarter '06 Increase in Brand Name Drug Prices the Highest in the Past 6 Years According to New "Rx Watchdog" -- manufacturer prices for nearly 200 of the most commonly used brand name medications rose at a rate of 3.9 percent during the first quarter of 2006, triple the rate of inflation. This is the highest first quarter increase in manufacturer prices for brand name prescription drugs in the more than six-year period. |
