Geoengineering: As Bad As Climate Change? I first read about planting seeds for rain several decades ago, and it sounded like a good idea (silver nitrate, I think it was). But it has become more and more clear that, as Barry Commoner (and others) noted so well, "Nature knows best." The role of unintended consequences goes on and on, and has for as long as Homo s. has been poking his nose and fingers into natural systems. We should be working with them, rather than trying to change them, as I think this article demonstrates. DG
