A member of the Israeli parliament has torn up a copy of the New Testament and thrown it in the trash. An edition of the Bible had been distributed to all members of the Knesset by Victor Kalish, the head of a Christian publishing society. This destruction of, and insults toward the Bible, come as Christians United for Israel (CUFI) -- what claims to be the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States -- meets for its annual conference in Washington.
