Can "misquote" anyone by broadcasting an unedited audio tape? Evidently Pastor Sean Harris, the man who's Sunday Sermon sent shock waves through the net yesterday, thinks you can.
The pastor who vehemently made a comment about "cracking" the limp wrist of a 4-year-old among other things, says that he has been "misquoted" numerous times, and that: "I misspoke. Hopefully, you understood that I was speaking in a forceful manner to emphasize the degree to which gender distinctions matter to God; and therefore, must matter to each of us and especially parents." The "forceful manner" was meant to be joking (indeed, some people laughed), he says. Unfortunately, not many outside of his congregation could see any humor in the situation. |
