The push to have recipients of government benefits undergo mandatory drug testing in order to access needed social services is gaining momentum, thanks to the GOP presidential race.
Mitt Romney has been a staunch supporter of the idea from day one, saying during an interview this month in Georgia to Atlanta's WXIA-TV: "People who are receiving welfare benefits, government benefits, we should make sure they're not using those benefits to pay for drugs."
